• 今日の第一朗読で、パウロはテサロニケの共同体(きょうどうたい)を心配して手紙を書きました。どうしてですか？他の人たちが間違ったことを教えていて、キリスト者たちの心を悩(なや)ませているようだったからです。
• パウロは手紙の中で、テサロニケのクリスチャンたちに対する愛情(あいじょう)を示し、彼らが良い教理を受けるように気遣(きづか)っています。それだけでなく、彼らが受けた伝統(でんとう)を伝えるように勧(すす)めていました。
• これはフランシスコ会の福者フランシスコの歴史に似ています。最初はスペインで、次にメキシコで、そしてフィリピンで。そこで彼はタガログ語だけでなく、日本語と中国語も学びました。そこで彼は日本に送られ、長崎で生きたまま焼かれるまで、愛情をもってキリスト者の世話をし、イエス・キリストを宣べ伝え続けたのです。
• パウロや福者フランシスコのような使徒的精神(せいしん)を与えてくださるよう、神様にお願いしましょう。

1 – En la primera lectura de hoy, San Pablo escribe a la Comunidad de Tesalónica porque está preocupado por ellos. ¿Por qué? Porque parece que otras personas estuvieron enseñando cosas erróneas que inquietaron el corazón de los cristianos.

2 – San Pablo muestra en su carta el amor por los cristianos de Tesalónica y por eso se preocupa de que reciban una buena doctrina. Y no solo eso, sino que los anima a transmitir las tradiciones que han recibido.

3 – Esto se parece a la historia del beato Francisco de Santa María, franciscano. Primero en España, luego en México y después en Filipinas. Allí no solo aprendió tagalo, sino también japonés y chino. Por eso fue enviado a Japón y allí siguió cuidando con amor de los cristianos y anunciando a Jesucristo hasta que fue quemado vivo en Nagasaki.

4 – Pidamos a Dios que nos regale un espíritu Apostólico como el de San Pablo y el del beato Francisco de Santa María.

1 – In today’s first reading, St. Paul writes to the Thessalonian community because he is concerned about them. Why? Because it seems that other people were teaching wrong things that troubled the hearts of the Christians.

2 – In his letter, Paul shows his love for the Thessalonian Christians and so he is concerned that they receive good doctrine. Not only that, but he encourages them to pass on the traditions they have received.

3 – This is similar to the story of Blessed Francis of St. Mary, a Franciscan. First in Spain, then in Mexico and then in the Philippines. There he learned not only Tagalog, but also Japanese and Chinese. So he was sent to Japan and there he continued to lovingly care for Christians and to proclaim Jesus Christ until he was burned alive in Nagasaki.

4 – Let us ask God to give us an Apostolic spirit like that of St. Paul and Blessed Francis of St. Mary.
