• 今日は聖バルトロマイの祝日ですが、フィリポについてお話したいと思います。フィリポはイエス様の最初の弟子の一人です。バルトロマイに近づき、「モーセと預言者たちが語ったかたを、私たちは見つけたのです」とイエス様のことを告げたのも彼です。
• 福音書には、フィリポがイエス様に出会ってからバルトロマイにこう言うまで、どれくらいの時間がかかったかは書かれていません。しかし、非常に短い期間であったと考えるのが妥当(だとう)でしょう。おそらく一日か数日(じつ)でしょう。
• フィリポは何を見聞(みき)きして、イエス様が旧約聖書で語られている人(じん)物であると認識(にんしき)したのでしょうか？間違いなく、フィリポはイエス様と実際に出会いました。彼はイエス様が旧約聖書に語られているお方であることを認識しました。そして、そのことをバルトロマイに伝える必要を感じたのです。
• 私たちもまた、イエス・キリストとの本当の出会いがあり、それによってイエス・キリストのことを他の人々に伝えることができるように、神様にお願いしましょう。

1 – aunque hoy es el día de San Bartolomé, me gustaría hablar de Felipe. Felipe es uno de los primeros discípulos de Jesús. Y es él quien se acerca a Bartolomé y le habla de Jesús. De hecho, usa estas palabras: “Aquel de quien hablaban Moisés y los profetas lo hemos encontrado”.

2 – El Evangelio no dice cuánto tiempo pasó desde que Felipe se encontró con Jesús hasta que le dijo esto a Bartolomé. Sin embargo, es razonable pensar que fue un periodo muy corto de tiempo. Quizá de un día o de pocos días.

3 – ¿Qué vio y escuchó Felipe para reconocer que Jesús era la persona de la que hablaba el Antiguo Testamento? Sin duda, Felipe tuvo un verdadero encuentro con Jesús. Le reconoció como aquel de quien habla el Antiguo Testamento. Y sintió la necesidad de compartir esto con Bartolomé.

4 – Pidamos a Dios también que salga nuestro encuentro y que podamos tener un verdadero encuentro con Jesucristo, que nos lleve a hablarle a los demás de él.

1 – Although today is St Bartholomew’s Day, I would like to talk about Philip. Philip is one of the first disciples of Jesus. And it is he who approaches Bartholomew and tells him about Jesus. In fact, he uses these words: ‘He of whom Moses and the prophets spoke, we have found him’.

2 – The Gospel does not say how long it was from the time Philip met Jesus until he said this to Bartholomew. However, it is reasonable to think that it was a very short period of time. Perhaps a day or a few days.

3 – What did Philip see and hear that made him recognise that Jesus was the person spoken of in the Old Testament? Without a doubt, Philip had a real encounter with Jesus. He recognised him as the one of whom the Old Testament speaks. And he felt the need to share this with Bartholomew.

4 – Let us also ask God to go out to meet us and that we may have a real encounter with Jesus Christ, which will lead us to tell others about him.
