Y por eso escuchamos en el evangelio a Jes\u00fas hablar del fin de los tiempos. Jes\u00fas hablas de desastres que acompa\u00f1ar\u00e1n al final de los tiempos. Quiz\u00e1 por eso, en muchas ocasiones, cuando pensamos en esta parte importante de nuestra fe, tendemos a imaginar un escenario oscuro y siniestro. De hecho, el cine tiene muchos ejemplos de esto mismo. Desastres naturales, zombis, muerte, etc. \u00bfRealmente es as\u00ed el mundo futuro que Dios nos ha prometido?\r\n\r\n2 \u2013 Todo esto no nos ayuda a pensar en un mundo futuro en el que uno desee vivir para siempre. M\u00e1s bien, todo esto nos lleva a querer huir y a vivir con miedo el momento de nuestra muerte. Pero \u00bfqu\u00e9 nos ha dicho Jes\u00fas sobre el fin de los tiempos y la vida eterna? Pues es importante, para responder a esta pregunta, conocer toda la Biblia. Porque la respuesta no es \u00fanicamente aquellos lugares donde Jes\u00fas habla expl\u00edcitamente del fin de los tiempos, como en el evangelio de hoy. Sino que la respuesta la encontramos en toda la Revelaci\u00f3n.\r\n\r\n3 \u2013 \u00bfQu\u00e9 nos ha revelado Dios de s\u00ed mismo? Que es Amor infinito y que nos ha creado por amor y para amar. Tambi\u00e9n nos ha dicho que es Padre, Hijo y Esp\u00edritu Santo. Y ese amor infinito nos lo quiere regalar ya en esta vida. Y tras la muerte, para toda la eternidad. Porque el amor posee una huella de eternidad, quien ha experimentado el amor puede imaginar m\u00e1s f\u00e1cilmente c\u00f3mo ser\u00e1 el final de los tiempos y la vida eterna.\r\n\r\n4 \u2013 Ahora que llegamos al final del a\u00f1o lit\u00fargico os propongo que dediquemos tiempo de nuestra oraci\u00f3n a tratar de imaginar c\u00f3mo ser\u00e1 el fin de los tiempos y la vida eterna. Hacer eso en la presencia de Dios, dentro de la oraci\u00f3n, nos ayudar\u00e1 a evitar escenarios oscuros y siniestros. As\u00ed podremos gozar todav\u00eda m\u00e1s del infinito amor con que Dios nos ama. - We are approaching the end of the liturgical year. And so we hear in the gospel Jesus speak of the end times. Jesus speaks of disasters that will accompany the end times. Perhaps that is why, on many occasions, when we think about this important part of our faith, we tend to imagine a dark and ominous scenario. In fact, cinema has many examples of this very thing. Natural disasters, zombies, death, etc. Is this really the future world God has promised us?\r\n\r\n2 - All this does not help us to think of a future world in which one wishes to live forever. Rather, all this leads us to want to flee and to live in fear at the moment of our death. But what has Jesus told us about the end of time and eternal life? In order to answer this question, it is important to know the whole Bible. Because the answer is not only in those places where Jesus speaks explicitly about the end times, as in today's gospel. But the answer is to be found in the whole of Revelation.\r\n\r\n3 - What has God revealed to us about himself? That he is infinite Love and that he created us out of love and in order to love. He has also told us that He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. And he wants to give us this infinite love already in this life. And after death, for all eternity. Because love has an imprint of eternity, those who have experienced love can more easily imagine what the end of time and eternal life will be like.\r\n\r\n4 - As we come to the end of the liturgical year, I propose that we spend time in prayer trying to imagine what the end of time and eternal life will be like. Doing so in the presence of God, in prayer, will help us to avoid dark and sinister scenarios. Then we will be able to enjoy even more the infinite love with which God loves us.
