Durante el adviento recordamos la venida de Jes\u00fas hace unos 2000 a\u00f1os y nos preparamos para la venida de Jes\u00fas al final de los tiempos. Por eso es bueno, a mitad del adviento, recordar que la espera de la venida de Jes\u00fas debe ser una espera alegre. \u00a1Nos alegramos de que Jes\u00fas vaya a venir!\r\n\r\n2 \u2013 Y por eso la gente le pregunta a Juan el Bautista qu\u00e9 deben hacer para prepararse. Es una buena pregunta que tambi\u00e9n nosotros nos podemos hacer: \u00bfqu\u00e9 puedo hacer para estar preparado para la venida de Jes\u00fas? Juan habla b\u00e1sicamente del cumplimiento de los mandamientos. Pero conviene a\u00f1adir tambi\u00e9n que la oraci\u00f3n y los sacramentos nos mantienen tambi\u00e9n preparados para la venida de Jes\u00fas. Especialmente el sacramento de la reconciliaci\u00f3n y la eucarist\u00eda.\r\n\r\n3 \u2013 Y yo os preguntar\u00eda: \u00bfOs alegra el coraz\u00f3n celebrar la eucarist\u00eda o recibir en la confesi\u00f3n el perd\u00f3n de vuestros pecados? Creo que es importante responder a esta pregunta. Quiz\u00e1 en ocasiones participamos de los sacramentos simplemente porque \u201ctengo que hacerlo\u201d, pero no porque \u201cnecesito hacerlo\u201d. Si vivimos la eucarist\u00eda como un verdadero encuentro con Jesucristo que nos regala su Cuerpo y su Sangre... \u00bfc\u00f3mo no vamos a alegrarnos en el coraz\u00f3n? Y lo mismo sucede con la confesi\u00f3n.\r\n\r\n4 \u2013 As\u00ed que encontramos en Jes\u00fas la fuente de nuestra alegr\u00eda. Y es una alegr\u00eda sin fecha de caducidad. Ahora vivimos en un mundo donde se nos ofrecen much\u00edsimas alegr\u00edas. Pero todas ellas son alegr\u00edas pasajeras. That is why it is good, in the middle of advent, to remember that the waiting for the coming of Jesus should be a joyful waiting. We rejoice that Jesus is coming!\r\n\r\n2 - And that is why people ask John the Baptist what they should do to prepare themselves. It is a good question that we can also ask ourselves: What can I do to be prepared for the coming of Jesus? John is basically talking about keeping the commandments. But we should also add that prayer and the sacraments also keep us prepared for the coming of Jesus. If we experience the Eucharist as a true encounter with Jesus Christ who gives us his Body and Blood... how can we not rejoice in the Eucharist? How can we not rejoice in our hearts?
